My most difficult was 5 days in the Grand Canyon. Did 50 miles in 5 days with a 50lb pack. Climbing out South Kaibab Trail in a snow storm was brutal. The books on the Grand Canyon say don't climb out the South Kaibab Trail. I've done it twice and both times in snow. Obviously I don't take instruction well.
I went down Bright Angel in 2009 in a snow storm and back up South Kaibab trail the next day. I was able to enjoy the hike with my 30 year old daughter. We created an awesome memory.
I've spent most of my outdoor time in Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and Texas. I'd like to see more of Nevada and Utah. I just moved back to Las Vegas in June and I've been on more than 20 day hikes already.
I've spent most of my life enjoying the outdoors. I'm a life member of the RMEF and have helped raise over $1m to enhance the habitat for all wildlife. I'm hiking down Havasupai in March and trying to book another overnight at Phantom Ranch soon.
