I found this story on an originally-therapist-initiated claim of indecent exposure and lewd behavior by a client:
http://www.gulfbreeze... The massage establishment AND the therapist are being sued because the ex-fire chief cannot find a job after being terminated from his position following the therapist's allegations and highly-publicized event. The state decided not to pursue the charges made by the therapist because of "insufficient evidence to prove the allegation beyond doubt." By the way: the report indicates the ex-chief registered with the spa under a fictitious identity. If you don't already have it, and If this doesn't convince you to have professional liability insurance, I don't know what will. ![]() |

If I were that LMT, I'd file a counter-suit for mental anguish, anxiety, depression and emotional distress.

Herein lies the trouble with massage being behind a closed door with no witnesses. I have had clients commit some lewd acts that were not "scratching and itch" and wondered how a therapist can protect themselves against or with any claims at all.
Me thinks I see the requirement of a camera turned on when the therapist enters the room coming into play. |
