I would like to do a PotLuck dinner again Saturday, these always seem to work out well! Please post in you RSVP what you plan to bring for that dinner. Other meals will depend on the schedule of events, we may Pot Luck for other meals as well. Let's discuss that on the message board!

This event will be Rated PG with possible PG13 around the campfire so feel free to bring those childrens!
I already hear a rumor of a Rated R excursion to Saline Springs Saturday night ADULTS ONLY for that one!
What to do:
There are hikes and tours throughout the park! Visit www.nps.gov/deva for more details. On the navigation bar on the left side of your screen click plan your visit then things to do for some ideas!
BackCountry Roads:
I plan to do some Backcountry driving on the miles and miles of Hi Clearance roads throughout the park! Here is my loose itinerary for the weekends driving adventures!
Friday:
After check-in and setting up camp quickly, I will head out to Beatty, NV, gas up and head to Rhyolite Ghost Town. RHYOLITE IS OPEN TO ALL VEHICES! When we finish up at Rhyolite the HC vehicles will take Titus Canyon Rd for a quick afternoon jaunt while the others can head back to camp or ?
Saturday:
In the morning on Saturday I intend to get up have breakfast and head out about 9-10 towards Scotty's Castle in the north end of the park. I may take the Scotty's Castle(open to ALL VEHICLES), tour depending on the interest of the other HC crew, otherwise we will head off on our journey including stops at Ubehebe Crater(open to ALL VEHICLES), Teakettle Junction, The Grandstand, and of course the Race Track! We can have a lunch stop at one of these points and head back to camp in the afternoon. On our way back 4X4 HC vehicles (ONLY) may take the option of taking the Hidden Valley Rd over to Saline Valley and Saline Springs for an ADULT getaway. There is known to be full nudity at Saline Springs, therefore the children will not be joining us. By the time you get to the springs you will most likely want to stay the night and return in the AM to break camp.
Sunday:
After breaking camp in the AM on Sunday I plan to head down the West Side Rd behind BadWater and the Devils Golf Course, heading back north once reaching the main rd, visiting Badwater, Devils Golf Course, and the Artists Pallete. Finally I will return to Furnace Creek, make sure everyone got packed up and on their way, then return to Vegas the way I came
I'm sure there will be many questions please direct them to the message board so everyone can learn from your question and the subsequent answer. I will allow maybe RSVPs for now but you will need to firm up your plans by 09/15/08.
Those that plan to drive the HC & 4x4 roads with us please contact me at your earliest convenience. I plan to bring more than one spare, however if you are not driving a FJ or other Toyota product or some Chevys that won't help you much. I am also bringing extra fuel, I don't anticipate needing it, but it will be there regardless.
When those who go head to saline springs it will still be daylight. I agree with Jeff even tho' I've never driven this road. I don't want to be wheeling at night, we are not familiar enough with the terrain to know whats coming around the next bend. And it sucks making field repairs in the dark!
Won't be able to go :( If there's anyone who RSVPed 'No' and wants this paid spot, let me know!
I need to replace the steering linkage on the bronco so gonna have to wait till the next trip
looks like I have 2 spots departing Friday morning...let me know! Is anyone else leaving with us Friday Morning?
I hope everyone has a great time on the Death Valley Trip. I wish I could make it.
If anyone still wants a ride, we can take two more.
Refunds offered if:
Additional notes: There will be no refunds unless the trip is cancelled. If you have paid and can no longer attend you will need to sell your spot to someone else to get your money back.
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
Log in to Meetup with your Facebook account.
driving out to saline valley after dark is not a very good idea, from past experience there is a 50/50 chance of making it without a blowout. for silver fjs it may be more like 102/-2! (-: Titus Canyon is the reason I bought a jeep and is a must-do if you haven't yet! don't look down if you're in the passenger seat! there's a terrific spot to stop and eat lunch toward the end! don't forget your swimsuits, there's a spring fed pool we can bathe in about 1/4 mile down the road from the campsite!
