It is part of our Sicilian culture to make any "strangers" or "foreigners" good friends as soon as we meet. So even if you are not Sicilian....you may feel Sicilian after coming to our meetups and being a part of our group because Sicilians are sooooooo hospitable!
The legacy left by Sicilian Immigrants of the sicilian culture, language and heritage has brought a unique flavour to many parts of our past, present and future Australian "Multicultural" identity.
The Sicilians of La Sicilia, have with some influence from the continual dominating "foreign" powers, kept to this day their very own language and cultural traditions unique and diverse to any other part of the world.
To ensure such a wonderful culture and language (which can be conisdered to be in decline with the influx of Sicilian immigrants from the 50sand 60s now largely representing an ageing population), let's keep this language strong and embrace the Siclian culture so rich, so unique, so beautiful to the eyes, ears and lets not forget taste buds of the beholder.
