We are a female-only group and the purpose of this group is to get together with other women for fun and laughs. Our monthly dinners are very popular and a great way to meet someone different each month as we have women from all walks of life in our group. Unlike a specialized group we have different activities all the time - movies, dinner, music, crafts, sports, hiking, etc - whatever you're up for. If you don't see anything on the schedule that interests you, then make a suggestion for the group and if two other people like it, it automatically turns into a meetup.
This is a great group to join if you're looking for some girl time, time away from the kids or just want something fun to do. All we ask in return is that you donate $1 per month to cover fees required by meetup*, to be collected at the event. Once we have collected enough money to cover expenses for the next billing cycle, we will stop asking for donations. Any questions regarding this policy, please email Amy, the Co-Organizer.
*Meetup.com is not a free service. They charge (the organizer) a bi-annual fee of $72 ($144/year) of which we split with another group, the Book Club (because you can have up to 3 groups on one account). Tiffany, the original organizer of this group is also the organizer of the book club, which is why we are able to split it. This means we only pay $36 every six months (payments due April 1st and Oct. 1st). I collect enough to pay the fee for the next cycle, then stop collecting when we reach $36 each billing cycle.
