A hacknight with a New Years twist!

The New Year is a great time to take a moment to reflect on your accomplishments and make goals for going forward. Really, you can do this anytime, but it's nice to have a prescribed moment for it.

As a group of awesome coders, let's take this sliver of time to share our goals and support each other in achieving them. Whether it be learning a new language, starting a project you've always dreamed about, launching a project that's been in the works, contributing to open source, or fine tuning an existing project of yours... all goals are perfect.

See you there for an evening of coding, story sharing, and snacks!

Really fun time. Next month I'll make sure I can hang out for longer.

Will this be a bring your laptop and code kind of event as per usual? Or would it be more social with a slightly different emphasis?

    • Yuliya F.

Thanks Shoshi, I will probably be mostly socializing. Did not want to lug my laptop around today. Will be happy to help others with code questions.

Awww 8) I want to do this Angular-Flask session in NYC sometime soon. I'll get back to you once I know when I'll be there again.

I've been loving Angular (can't say the same for Backbone), so I'm all for it!

    Hi Ladies,

Wishing you all Happy Holidays and a Very Happy New Year !

Also, came across this article about SkillCrush, NYC-based, woman-founded startup teaching tech skills:

Don't you have any meetings or events prior to January 29, 2014?

    • Shoshi R.

We might! Since personal schedules are quite variable as the holiday season approaches, we're thinking about doing smaller workshops instead of big hacknights. If you have any ideas, please do get in touch!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
