LWLLT Holiday Party at Pack's Tavern and Inspecting Carol at ACT

We'll meet at Pack's Tavern at noon. Let's have a little fun and make it a holiday party! Everyone bring a $10.00 gift to share - just something fun - and we'll do some sort of fun gift exchange.

We'll follow it with Inspecting Carol - the holiday show at Asheville Community Theatre. Show starts at 2:30pm.

Please RSVP and Pay for the show by November 12, 2012. Pay through the Meetup site as usual and I will purchase tickets.

Tickets are $22.00 each - $19.00 for seniors and students.

Here are the details:

A Christmas Carol meets Waiting for Guffman meets Noises Off in this hilarious hit. A man who asks to audition at a small theatre is mistaken for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor and he is given a role in the current production, A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity. Perfect anytime, this delight is particularly appropriate at Christmas.

I liked Pack's Tavern, though it was very noisy. With the big screen TV's blaring, it was difficult to be heard. the food was very good and the company was great. Fun meal!

    Pat - Yes! That works.

Amy - pretty much. I may try to park my car close to Pack's so that if someone needs a ride to the theatre, I can drop them off and then park. We'll make it work.

Packs Tavern will be a nice change and the food there is really good. According to MapQuest, walking distance is 0.17 miles and estimated time is only 4 minutes. It is basically straight up Spruce Street.

Hey Donna--Will the present be considered "wrapped" if it's concealed in a gift bag with a pretty ribbon? I'm all thumbs when it comes to wrapping packages! :-)

For those wondering - there are some Veggie Options at Pack's Tavern (veggie burgers, pasta, salads, tempeh) - and at 12pm we should be OK with the noise. It may start getting noisy shortly be fore we leave.

Hi Ladies! I will solidify all the arrangements for this meetup this week and will post shortly! In the meantime, if you haven't paid for your theatre ticket - can you do so, so I can order the tickets?

    Thanks

    I understand.
Olive or Twist is 2 blocks away, less than a 5 minute walk.
Feel free to make changes the reservation, it is under Cha-Cha ;)

Cha-Cha - great suggestion. Let me take a look and I really don't mind making the reservations myself. I'd prefer to start at 12pm because we're doing a holiday thing and it's important to me that we make it to the theatre on time to be seated before curtain. I'd like to judge the walking distance before a final decision is made.

My assistant makes the reservations for us so we can handle it - but we haven't been to Olive and Twist yet, so great suggestion and I will check it out! Thanks!

    Hi Donna,
It was great seeing you last night. I hope that you enjoyed Hairspray w/ your new short, awesome haircut!

I think Olive or Twist would be a perfect place for us to meet before the show because; they are geographically appealing, they have the space to accomodate us, a varied menu & they are open on Sunday's.
So, I have already made a reservation for us @ 12:30pm for Sunday 11/18. Please let me know if you would like me to keep this reservation. If so, I will update the number of attendees that morning from whomever RSVP's here.

Nancy - great idea! I love the Laughing Seed. Probably not for this one though - that would be quite a walk, and I know some of a few of our regulars would have difficulty. However, maybe when we're going to North Carolina Stage - the walk wouldn't be quite as long! I'll plan on it for the next yet-to-be-scheduled NC Stage Adventure. :)

How about going to the Laughing Seed Cafe for one our Meetups?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
