Monthly Chat over Casual Coffee

Hi Ladies!!

Welcome to the group! I'm so excited to meet new people in the Colorado Springs area! If you have never been to a meetup before- I know it can be a little nerve wracking, but I promise...Come- and you will have an excellent time!

I chose this Starbucks, because it was recently remodeled and is now the home of long, beautiful wooden tables that we can sip our coffee at.

This is a casual affair- Come and tell us how you ended up in Colorado (have you always been here?), what your favorite things to do are, and what you have been dying to do in the area and just haven't had the time or guts to do it. (Have you already been to feed the giraffes at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo? It's...ah-mazing!)

Looking forward to meet you ladies!

(P.S. Parking is easy- this Starbucks is in a lot with an Albertson's and Walgreens. So no excuse not to come, right?)

Loved my first meetup. The only problem was the noise and seating arrangement - the long table broke the group down into sub-groups almost, with conversation among everyone difficult. Otherwise, this seems like an indeed lively assortment of fun ladies and I look forward to meeting again.

Hello all. Checking to see if everything is still going on at the Starbucks this weekend, or has another location been chosen? Also, my ride has fallen apart and I am wondering if anyone could give me one from Rockrimmon and Woodmen. I will gladly pay for gas.

That's fine. Just got a new kitten, so this gives me a couple more minutes to settle her in.

I have a feeling I will be late. I am meeting my friend for lunch in Lakewood. I will make it when I can.

My husband made other plans for me in Woodland PArk Saturday afternoon. I'll have to cancel my space for the coffee chat, Saturday. Sorry, I was looking forward to meeting everyone. Will try another time.

What about Pikes Perk off of Academy and Vickers? It's pretty big, has lots of couches and its more centrally located then downtown. What does everyone think?

I am still planning on coming, and don't really care too much where. Starbucks is OK. We could also try Jives which is downtown across from the park by the library.

Hi Ladies- Are you all still meeting for this event? :) As I mentioned- I'll be at my mother's. Do you still want to shoot for Starbucks?

Not sure where most of the people in this group live, and I'm brand new, but if you are considering a new meeting place it would sure be nice if it could be somewhat centrally located. Looking forward to meeting you this Saturday!

Two things- 1. I have something scheduled with my mother that day and won't be able to make it. Anyone willing to be the point person for this coffee? And 2. We need a bigger coffee place to meet at. Thoughts? I've heard Pikes Perk might be a good idea?

Hi Deanna. I saw Robin Thomas's post RE place to meet. I have been to Pikes Perk on Tejon. It is very busy; I do think it has an upstairs area, but I am not sure how much room there is. I have also been to Coffee and Tea zone, which does have a lot of room and is very quiet.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
