Have you heard what is the hot new place to be on Friday nights is this Spring? Why it's Friday Nights At The ROM! They have it all, lots of people, a DJ, lots of food and drink plus dinosaurs and mummies!
They also have a theme and this Friday's theme is going to be photography! Here is what the ROM has to say about this upcoming get together:
" In partnership with Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, explore the ROM’s feature exhibitions with artists Larry Towel and Deborah Samuel. Grab a drink in the Rec Room Photo Lounge and step in front of the camera to create your own works of art.
Performance by Düzi Featuring DJ Jay Sea"
If you are a budding photographer, are interested in the craft of heck, just want to come out and have a good time checking the exhibit and meeting new friends, this is a night you definitely do not want to miss.

How will I find the group?
You must come on time, at around 6:00 - 6:30pm and you will find us near the bar to your right when you come in or by the couches to the left of it. We hardly do this in the group but we will be using name tags. Also, I will be the one sporting a camera around my neck. If you come after 6:30pm, you may have a problem finding us as we will move around.
How does this whole thing works?
You pay $9 to get in. If you want to buy drinks you must purchase "ROM Dollars" on your own. I have been coming to check out the scene and I would suggest you purchase $10-12 worth. Beers are $5 and wine is $6.
The ROM night goes until 11:00pm, although they stop serving alcohol at 10:00pm. You are also free to see any exhibits and attend symposiums regarding the night's theme.
Although you 'can' wear jeans, the ROM really lends itself to a more lounge/cocktail party atmosphere. I would suggest to dress as if you were going to a classy lounge instead. Everyone I have seen dresses at that level. It might help mingling if you feel fashionable. Just sayin'.
Lastly, the $2 is to help the group fee and feed the Meetup Monster.
