Star Trek Meetup: Lafayette welcomes members interested in all science fiction genres who want to take their interest to the next level. Its motto is "Fun, Fandom and Friendship". The group is being started by the USS Corsair in Baton Rouge to help Lafayette form their own Starfleet chapter. Events will range from community service activities, conventions, movie nights, and other "away missions" to local events
