I joined this group to get a feel for what IT in this area is like. I am NOT laid off, but I have my own company and am only able to find engagements out of state.

"I have been working in IT as a consultant for about 15 years and focus on the Wintel Migration space. My company, Lucet has been in business for about a year and when I first started it the prospects in that space looked good. Now, there are still engagements available but the rates are often less than half of what would be reasonable."
