Let's get in a fall ride on the North Branch Trail. We are starting at Harms Woods and riding to the south end of trail to pick up more riders and then riding to the north end of the trail. When we get there, we will have lunch at the Cafe at the Botanic Garden. After lunch, we will ride back to Caldwell Woods and then back to Harms Woods.
I anticipate a pace of 12-15mph. If there are enough people, we can split into groups of different speeds.
Trail Type / Bike Type
This is a paved trail, so any bike will work.
This ride will be about 48 miles. If you want to do a shorter ride, I have a 16 and a 32 mile version posted for the same day. Choose the one that works best for you.
We will gather at 9:30 and depart at 10:00. We NEED to be on time departing so we will be on time meeting the next group.
8:30 Gather, get bikes ready, fill tires, sign waivers, mingle
10:00 Arrive at Caldwell Woods to pick up the 32 mile group
11:00 Arrive at Harms Woods to pick up the 16 mile group
12:00 Arrive at the Botanic Gardens for lunch (with time to walk around the Gardens if people want to)
1:30 Leave the Botanic Gardens for Harms Woods
2:30 Arrive at Harms Woods (16 mile riders will be done here)
3:30 Arrive back at Caldwell Woods (32 mile riders are done here)
Caldwell Woods Parking Lot (On the north side of Devon just east of Milwaukee Avenue).

Feel free to arrange carpools amongst yourselves. If you are interested in a carpool, feel free to mention it in your RSVP or make a comment on the ride. Make sure to mention where you are coming from. Please note if you are looking to drive or for a passenger. Also, if you are looking for a passenger, please note how many people and bicycles you can carry.
Also, I know that some people will be riding to the start of the ride. If you are looking for someone to ride with, feel free to mention that as well.
What You Should Bring
Bike (in good working order), Helmet, Extra Inner Tube, Portable Air Pump (or CO2 cartridges), Tire Levers, Sunscreen, Lock (if stopping for lunch), Money (if stopping for lunch), Cell phone (recommended), Photo ID (recommended), Insurance Card (recommended), Munchies / Power Bars / Trail Mix (recommended for any long ride without a break for food.)
Waiver / Helmet Rule
Each rider will have to sign a waiver for each ride (I will supply the waivers). All riders must wear a helmet for the duration of the ride.
