Wednesday PIZZA Ride ~ Ride at Your Own Pace ~ Up to 20 Miles

This is the ride you've been waiting for!   Leisure, Intermediate & Advanced Riders Welcome ~ ride at your own pace! Build your endurance and speed!

We will meet at The Silo Restaurant before riding over to The Skokie Valley trail. This paved trail, aka The Speedway, is an ideal trail to add to your places to ride. It runs parallel to 41, from 176, all the way down to Lake-Cook Road. There are only a few road crossings, allowing you to ride for long stretches without cars. The perfect place to work on increasing your endurance and speed!


There will be a 1.5  hour time limit for this ride, allowing all to return to the Silo at approximately the same time. Wherever you are after 45 minutes, you turn around and head back! Afterwards stay for some pizza and beer. Family and non-riding friends welcome!

We will hold this ride once a month so you will be able to check your riding fitness.... hopefully you will be able to ride the entire 20 mile out and back by the end of the summer. This is a good ride to help boost your endurance and speed!

For your safety as well as that of those around you, please come equipped with front and back lights.

On Tuesday evening, I will email my cell phone number to all those who have RSVPed "Yes" by that time - if you are not present AND have not contacted me by 6 pm on Wednesday, I will assume you are not coming. As always, if you RSVP "Yes" but your plans change, please kindly update your RSVP to "No" on the Meetup site before the scheduled ride time.

We will meet at the Silo Restaurant parking lot. Please arrive a few minutes early so you are ready to ride by 6 pm.

~ When you RSVP - please indicate if you are staying for dinner so we can let the Silo know ahead of time.

You are strongly urged to wear a helmet and refrain
from wearing headphones / earbuds while riding.

    Weather has to do a 180 before I,m able to attend plus dicey work schedule. Could not start at 6pm, darned. Job intervenes. How to find pkg lot adjacent to trail in lake bluff at 6:30?
