Registration is now open for Bike the Drive, an awesome ride for new cyclists and veterans alike! Experience great views of the lake, the city's stellar skyline and many thousands of other cyclists celebrating two-wheeled freedom. Your registration supports the Active Transportation Alliance's efforts to make it safer and easier to walk, bike and take transit around Chicagoland.
Check out pics from 2012's ride here.
The ride starts at Columbus Dr & Jackson Blvd with the northern leg ending at Bryn Mawr and the southern leg at 57th Street. Ride either leg - about 15 miles each - or the entire loop for a round-trip total of 30 miles. Feel free to ride the route as many times as you'd like! There will be three rest stops with light snacks and water; SAG vehicles will be available for riders who need support.
The route opens at 5:30am; at 10:15am all cyclists must be off the Drive. Post-ride festival 8am-noon.

Save $8.00 when registering online through Friday, February 1st. You also have the option of registering for a second great ride - the Four Star Bike & Chow, Sunday, August 25th - at the same time. Access the Meetup listing for the Four Star Bike & Chow here.
I will email my cell phone number to all riders who have RSVPed "Yes" by the night before. We can attempt to find each other pre-ride, though it may be difficult based upon the venue, crowds and early start time; however, we can definitely hook-up at the post-ride festival for some chow and live music!
