The purposes of this workshop is to educate the public in the tools and resources available in the Social Media Space on the Internet Superhighway. Online resources like Twitter, Squidoo, Skype, Jott and Aardvark, among many others, can be extremely beneficial to small businesses and nonprofit organizations...once you learn how to use them. In fact, a computer can become a wonderful automated virtual assistant that never tires, once you learn how to properly optimize its operation on your behalf. These workshops will not only provide lecture and hands-on instruction, but will distribute a free flash drive to each registered attendee to help improve a computer's operation.

People who attend the workshop are encouraged to bring their fliers and brochures for networking purposes. Fliers and brochures which are not picked up by other attendees will be recirculated in the community via "goodie" bag promotions at other community events.

The workshops will be taught by Mark Rudiger of LakeCountyWebsites and Lamar Morgan of CDMM - Synergistic Business Marketing. Anyone interested in learning more about social media and optimizing their business presence there should plan to attend these workshops.
