This forest preserves a diversity of the natural habitats found in Brevard county, including medic and hydric hammocks, oak scrubs, scrubby flatwoods, and basin swamps. There are over four miles of trails to explore. There may be muddy areas, so it's not advised to wear your fancy shoes...lol.
After we trek around in the amazing sanctuary, if you would like to join us for lunch, we will head over to the famous Dixie Crossroads in Titusville.
Suggestions to bring along: plenty of water, sunscreen, bug repellent, sturdy (mud-trompin') shoes or hiking boots, a camera, a light snack, and money for lunch.
The end time for this meetup is approximate. If you are just joining us for the hike, we should be done around 11:30-12:00.
