Please join us for the biggest wine event of the year! The 2010 Chicago Botanic Garden Wine Festival.
Sergio and I went to this last year, and took an oath to never, ever miss this event.
Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Chicago Botanic Garden while sampling more than 250 wines from around the world. Discover new and exciting varieties from the experts in a casual festival setting. In addition to the samples, wine and beer will be available for purchase by the glass.
WARNING: *** This event is a Marathon ***
We are normally not the "sip-n-spit" type, but for this event we have to make the exception. This festival features wineries, distributors, & importers, and will be showcasing more than 250 domestic and international wines at over 60 tables! Just warning you now. =)
The Festival takes place in the meadow west of Evening Island, and designated trams will be available to get us to the site. We will all be meeting by the main ticket booth at Noon SHARP where you will receive your wristband and wine glass. Due to the size of this festival, please be on time, and accurate with your RSVP. We highly recommend that everyone attending purchase thier tickets in advance.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door and can be purchased here.
Parking at the Botanic Garden is $20 per car. If you are like me and don't like paying $20 to park, the Botanic Garden also offers a trolley to and from the Glencoe Metra train station for $2 round trip. Metra station parking is most likely free on the weekend.
Hope to see you there!!
