Lake Area Camera Club General Meeting

Topic:  Semi-Annual Photo Contest.  Categories:  Architecture, Night Exposure, Panning, Spring, Old Cars/Vehicles and Unusual Signs.

Mini Program:   Files - file naming, file moving, file backup, etc. - Presented by Rueben Herman

Paid Club Members may submit up to 4 photos, only one per category, print format, no larger than 12" x 12", photos taken since May 2013. Ribbons awarded for 1st and 2nd in each category and Gift Certificate for Best of Show.

This is a general club meeting and is open to anyone who wishes to attend. You do not have to be a current club member. Come see what we are about.

At our general meetings, we take care of some club business, then present an educational program on a photographic topic. After the program there is a period of time to review and share images from the previous month's challenge. We also have a place to display a couple of images that you might want to share with the group or display for critique and comment.

Meetings usually last until about 9:00 pm. Come join us!

    What is the best prime lens for Canon crop sensor 60D to be used for portrait work? Is there a 90mm or 100mm macro that would double as a portrait lens?

      I would rent or borrow a few to try. remember that most primes are EF full frame so you need to take the focal length x 1.6 for the crop sensor of the 60d to get your true focal length.
