Nope, no chaos. It was very organized last year and we have a great system and lots of volunteers in place. It will be fun!

If you get on the water before 10:00 AM you can get into the first Guinness World Record attempt for most canoes and kayaks launched simultaneously. After that we will raft up for the 2nd GWR attempt.

I have just been to the event website at www.nhlakefest.org and you can register for one, two, or any number. The City of Laconia does not allow dogs in Endicott Rock Park, where the launch will be from, as well as the post-event festival, so unfortunately no dogs.

I went to lakefest last year. Left out of Meredith for a wonderful paddle to the weirs! I'd be happy to meet anyone in Meredith if you want to paddle out with me!! I'm always looking for people to go kayaking with!

I went to lakefest last year too, afterwards I followed a woman paddler up to Meredith, had lunch and paddled back to Weirs beach. I'm wondering if that was you, lol, I was in a little dark green kayak way of to your left and behind.

I'm planning some hikes in the White Mountains throughout summer. My trips will be any day Wed-Fri. Anybody available is welcome to come along.

Don't forget to register for the actual event at www.nhlakefest.org. It was $5.00 per boat through Memorial Day and is now $10.00 per boat through July 4th; thereafter going to $15.00. There is help available if you have trouble registering at [masked].

You can register the day before the event (on August 2nd ) or on the day of the event itself (the 3rd) right onsite at Weirs Beach but it is highly recommended that you do so ahead of time.

It's necessary to register with NH Lakes on the www.nhlakefest.org site.
