This group is a place for string and woodwind players, and pianists also, who would like to play classical music (loosely defined) in a small ensemble / chamber music setting. There's so much great music out there, that just isn't the same played solo. 

For anyone who finds this group and is wondering about joining us:  Most of the music we play is not that difficult; if you're comfortable with music like Bach's "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring" then you'll be able to keep up just fine.  We are about playing music - so if you're going to join, plan to come out and play.

Shift in structure:  "open" session will be scheduled monthly; come to these to read through music, and meet people, and play for an hour or two and just enjoy the sound of instruments playing together.  But when people want to work up music (and maybe even find a place and time to play it publically), then let's put together "closed" groups where those people are practicing specific music; and meet at mutually agreed upon times.  Currently we've got a flute-violin-cello trio working on some music, and also hopefully three will be meeting to play a Beethoven piano-violin-cello trio (the pianist is practicing but making good progress, I love Beethoven!).   If you come to the "open" sessions, it's easier to make these connections and find mutually agreeable music to play.
