Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing system that uses small needles placed at special locations throughout the body where energy collects. The purpose of acupuncture treatment is to restore the body to its natural balanced state so that the blockages that cause disease and discomfort can be eliminated and the body's ability to heal itself will ensue.
During this lecture, we will learn where and how Acupuncture theory developed, how Traditional Chinese Medicine and the theory can be applied to daily living activity in order to restore balance and be used as a preventative medicine. We will discuss what Qi is, the energetic system Acupuncture and Nature uses, how Acupuncture works, who Acupuncture can work for, what kind of conditions it can treat, and what patients can expect to feel like during and after treatment. We will discuss how Nutrition and Herbs can benefit health, support healing function, and be incorporated into one's daily life.
Acupuncture Demonstrations will be provided based on volunteers from the audience, which will include personal individualized diagnosis and treatment. The purpose of this lecture is not only to introduce this wonderful form of natural medicine to people, but to also give people some helpful information that they can use and practice on their own.
