What gets me is that we can go to a desolate, remote, uninhabited areas and do adventurously geekish things that you just can't do anywhere else. And, in between the activities you capture the vast beauty of where we are.
1999 Jeep Wrangler equipped with radio and navigation systems. Previous vehicles to drive; 4 Runner, Jeep CJ7 and Nissan Xterra. Been seriously stuck or stranded seven times in three states.
Primary Land-Nav system is iPad connected to GNS Bluetooth GPS (GNS 5870 MFI) and gaiagps.com app software. Handheld is Magellan Triton 400, old dash mounted Garmin V backup and my Laptop (in the Jeep) serving as secondary APRS with UI-View mapping software.
