Combining technology with offroad adventures and various challenges. I've always wanted to learn more about HAM radio. Overlanding trips allow for more time to savor the beauty of the land and outdoors. The LandOps challenges bring out the best in you.
I have a 2005 Land Rover LR3 with Cooper Zeon oversize tires, rock sliders and under body protection, along with a Spot II satellite tracker.
Garmin Oregon 450 with Topos from GPSFileDepot. I also have a Samsung Tab 3 with Backcountry Navigator Topo in addition to my LR3 NAV system.
K6JKB General License. After being on the LandOp trips, I can see the benefit of having the Ham radio for offroad communication. Anytone Mobile in vehicle and 2 Wouxun HT's Licensed GMRS operator WQOX450.
I'm an active member of SCLR (Southern California Land Rovers), and love the outdoors. I love the challenges of the LandOps trips.
Land Ops is awesome...
