What do you find most interesting about The Land Ops Adventure Group?

The exploration of new places.

Do you own a vehicle you can take off road? If so what kind?

1977 IH Scout II, 33" tires, Lifted a bit, locked front. I've taken it though Rubicon, and to the top of most dunes at Dumont Dunes, and a lot in between. Nothing special, just a good all around rig.

Do you own a GPS device for geocaching? If so, what kind?

Yes, Magellan Meridian and Garmin Montana, We geocache under the name BigTruckCrew.

Are you a licensed Ham radio operator? If YES, please give call sign. If NO, do use any other two way radio communications such as FRS/GMRS?

Kilo Golf Seven Delta Mike India - Licensed for just over a year now.

How did you hear about Land Ops?

I saw your post on Reno4x4.

Introduction

Greg Moore; Saw your post on Reno4x4 and thought your event looked like fun. So here we come. Off-Roading and Geocaching are two things I enjoy. I'm usually the lone IH Scout. Glamis to Rubicon, its all fun.

What Greg M. is saying about this Meetup Group

For anyone hesitant to attend future events due to lack of understanding of any or all aspects of the game, don't be. We had no idea what we were doing at the beginning. So we were teamed up with a very experienced operator, (Thanks again Mike!) and instructed and assisted in learning the game. Even on the way in to the event, we met up with a couple of guys, and after finding out I had no mapping, just a waypoint. They radioed back to camp and had Jim (Thanks Jim) meet us at a corner that wasn't well marked. Thanks again to Chris and all the put the event on. We had a great time. Greg and Diane
