January Laravel Meetup

- [Live from Berlin] Introduction to Fortrabbit and video discussion with its co-founders! Fortrabbit is a great PHP hosting platform all Laravel developers should love, and you will find out why.

- Working with Laravel and Angular - a live coding session with Edgar Hipp, co-founder of

Looking forward to seeing you there. Please share the event on your social network of choice, and bring your friends! Beginners welcome. And yes, there will be some gifts :)

2014 News!

1 - Laravel meetups will be held every last Wednesday of the month at Pianofabriek. This is a nice place with its very own bar, so expect us to finish our events there.

2 - Our monthly meetups are now sponsored by Cartalyst! For those who don't know them yet, Cartalyst is a company working with Laravel to produce top-quality, open-source packages, including the (free) Sentry authorisation and authentication system. They're very generously covering for our costs for the whole year, so feel free to thank @dansyme and @cartalyst on twitter.

Thanks to all who attented, it was really cool to do this live session with you :-)

Here's the github repo of the code we wrote yesterday :

Inside are also some more detailled articles about questions like DOM-caching and html-binding

Oh too bad to hear that Bart! That's a shame. Looking forward to seeing you next month :)

Thanks a lot to Ben, Edgar and others for this great meetup! Both the discussion with fortrabbit and the live coding session were as nice as interesting. I should definitely have a look at Angular.

The place also looks great. Hopefully, we will have less hardware and connectivity issues next time!

If you 'd like, I could do a course on working with angular and Laravel using a JSON API. Just tell me how long it should last so I can prepare that for this meetup.

It would also be nice if you can talk about the security of a Laravel API (using API keys for example)

Good idea to expand this topic to e.g. Security, rate limiting and structuring your uri's to more complex use cases. Ofc if it is still possible:) no pressure Edgar!

Is this meeting a certainty? I'd love to come. Been using Laravel for a few months now and absolutely love the elegance of it.

Hi everyone. The BeatSwitch team will join next week. Also we are looking for a PHP developer and hoping to meet some interesting people during the meetup.

I hope to be able to make it :)

I have renamed the initially announced "Get Started with Laravel" workshop as a regular event. Indeed I felt we should further discuss the workshop concept before launching it. Nevertheless we'll keep the focus on making our meetup accessible and useful for beginners :)

Really hoping this event will happen! :)

if possible any evening of the week except monday. I just started experimenting with L4 and love it ! Things i'd like to discuss: how to use versioning (git) in a good way (projects vs packages) / how to cleverly use/extend packages / good practices building a CMS-package in L4... (and i am sure by november i'll have tons of items to discuss)

Very good topics I'd like to discuss too - but more for our regular meetings rather than our "Get Started" workshop I think... Feel free to submit your suggestions as issues on github:

If possible, I would prefer a Wednesday, Friday or during a week-end. A Saturday or Sunday could be more suitable if the workshop last several hours.

    I’m interested in « being a coach » :)
