This was my first meetup, let alone my first time hosting... Not knowing what to expect when I entered into things, I can honestly say that I walked away feeling pleased, excited and, most of all, engaged by this new community.

Hey guys, can't make it tonight, but hope to make it out for the next meet up.

Just in case people are wondering why I'm not able to make it tonight or any of my team, I'm off to Indonesia for a week starting tomorrow and family came first.
David M has been amazing and has helped find the location and will be hosting the meetup tonight. Looking forward to meeting you next time.

Hi All!!! Well, it looks like there is going to be a good crowd tomorrow at sycle.net's offices. I'm excited to see that there is a good range of Laravel users.
The goal tomorrow is to get to know each other, find out what people are doing with Laravel and have a good time picking each other's brains and networking.
As it is the first meetup, the agenda will be pretty flexible and I'm hoping that we can get some good discussion going.
Note: There's a pub downstairs but if people could grab some chips, pop, veggie platters (if you're into that kind of thing) it would be awesome.

Wish I was a bit closer to this one, but I'd have to wait until one in Seattle area :) Good luck on your first Laravel meetup!
Hello guys, just want to know if there is a plan on the event or something. I live in Kamloops and planning on coming by car. I want to come but you know want to get the most of it.

We are still a go for Friday, please let me know your RSVP so we can ensure we have enough chairs. We're hoping to meet in Gastown.

Hi Sheldon. I could help out designing posters and stand banner for the event. On side note, we could try have sponsors for it if this got big enough though.

Hi Artisans, due to an illness I'm pushing back this meetup until January so we can plan it properly and get a good location.
Any update on location? Is this a go? Really looking forward to it!
Your office in Langley sounds great. Thank you for offering. I'm also happy with just a Starbucks or such too.If nobody comes up with a better location, then you might want to post the address next week and we shall meet there.
Looking forward to meet you all.

Still looking for a good location. Any suggestions? If necessary we can meet at my office in Langley.

The Lower Mainland would work for me, so long as I have a chance to tear myself away from work for a weekend. :)
I'd be interested in discussing best approaches to the IoC and unit testing.

+1 for Lower Mainland!
Topic-wise? I'd be very interested to share / hear ideas with regards to leveraging Laravel when refactoring legacy code / applications.. :)

Lower mainland makes a lot of sense in case some Americanos want to join us :)I live closer to downtown currently, so may be Brian can make a suggestion where's a good place to meet. Topic-wise I'm still new to Laravel, so I'm interested in recommendations for general useful packages, file handling and deployment/preferred web server setup.
Very happy to see other folks going with Laravel!

I can attend if the location is in the lower mainland.
