Open invite from MVRR's for a Sunday ride to Mimbres for lunch...

Sunday ride to Mimbres for lunch...

We will meet for breakfast at Pepe's at about 0800

Leave from Pepe's after breakfast and ride to Hatch, Nut, Lake Valley, Hillsboro, over Emory Pass into Mimbres and back.  We can either go back the same way or head to "Caballo and ride down the valley to home, via NM187 and NM185 or via interstate....It is about a three hour ride into Mimbres and back if Emory Pass is taken, and a bit shorter if the Rio Grande valley is ridden..we will meet for breakfast at Pepe's at about 0800 and leave when ever we are all ready...I expect this might be a last chance to ride Emory Pass this year.

Weather could be a factor, and we all need to keep track of that.

Two bikes, three people went. Was sort of windy in the open stretches, but in all a great ride. Very comfortable pace, and the pass is one of the best roads in NM, maybe in the top 10 in the whole of the US to ride. Had a leisurely, reasonably priced, and tasty lunch. Rode back via the Membres river valley, City of Rocks, and Deming. Rode old hiway 70 back to Las Cruces from Deming. So we were only on the interstate for about 18 miles or so. We never know if there will be gas in Hillsboro, or Membres, so we always stop in Hatch to top off and take a short break (there was gas in Membres after all). We stopped at the top of the pass at the parking lot, in Membres, and in Deming. About 3 hours into Membres, and two hours back. No photos, forgot to do so and just now got your message. But may be able to get a video of part of the ride, will try; can that be posted? Craig

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
