Just got back from the meetup and feel very much humbled by the amount of passion and intelligence at the bar. We shared banter on monetary reform, fractional reserve banking, evils of debt based currency, sha256 and scrypt asic mining, up and coming cryptocoins, algorithmic trading, use of BTC in other emerging markets, BTC as a means to end war, buying back politicians from corporate interests.

In case there are other miners reading this, I am inspired to form a group buy of one or more of the Zeusminer 72+MHs Scrypt miner scheduled for shipping by May 31.

I would love to have engaged with everyone tonight. If anything mentioned above strikes your interest, I'd love to connect. Reach me at [masked].

Hello, on Friday, April 25, the Nevada Financial Institutions Divisions issued a consumer guidance regarding virtual currencies. I wrote them yesterday to seek a clarification on the language regarding licensing vis a vis folks who buy/sell bitcoins solely for their own account. (Needless to say, I do NOT think a license "should" be required by Nevada as a maater of policy and law, if the conditions of Fin-2014-R002 are met.)
I will have copies of the April 25 Nevada Guidance available to discuss and can email a link to anyone who wants it.
    See you this evening.

Cool happening. I am going to try and make it. I have long wanted to trade some fractional btc for a beer & food downtown. Big ups to Tony for transforming downtown!

Hello, I practice law related to the bitcoin industry. I am interested in a project to streamline regulations, which, in passing may impact on local sales of bitcoins for cash, here in Las Vegas. I would like to talk to active sellers in this area. I'll be at the meet-up to get a sense of what this community feels would be helpful.

Awesome, I'm looking forward meeting you in person and perhaps pick your brain about starting a Local Bitcoin Exchange similar to the Bitcoin Center in New York.
