Canyon Practice - Knots, bends & hitches

We'll practice going over some of the typical knots, bends and hitches that we use and/or see in the canyon... Our focus will mainly be on the figure 8 and Bowline family of knots, a few bends used to tie rope together for pulling and/or rappelling, along with a couple of hitches we should all have in our tool box...

This meetup is scheduled for 1.5 hours.

** If you would like to review some of the knots we'll be practicing, you can download our knot document we have posted with our group:

Thanks Eric, I'll probably just bring some New England cordellette pieces for the group to tie with since the cord is easy and pliable to practice with... :0)

Ken, I have a bunch of 12' to 15' rope pieces from a knot class I did if you need them.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
