I've working on a collection of short stories for some time now. Unfortunately, without the motivation of a group to push me forward, my personal writing often falls by the wayside.
My writing can usually be classified as tragically sardonic with a whimsical twist. My pieces aren't inherently based on plot. I usually like to focus on placing two or three unique characters together and seeing where they go. I've been told by different people that my work resembles Joseph Heller (Catch-22) or Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club).
I recently moved from Salt Lake in order to teach lit and writing at CSN. I love reading, writing (both creative and academic), film-going, eating sushi, mocking human interaction, and going back in time, trying to put right what once went wrong.
