Discuss day trading strategies...

Due to a scheduling conflict with Total Wine, our next meetup will be on the 2nd Wednesday (April 9th) and not our regular 1st Wednesday of the month.

I'm certain we will be treated to yet another excellent and beneficial presentation from our resident trading tutor, Hank. (He calls himself "Trader Hank." I call him "Professor Hank.")

I would ask that you RSVP as soon as you know that you'll be able to attend.

Total Wine is located at 501 N Stephanie Street in Henderson - on the north-west corner of Warm Springs and Stephanie. It's easily accessible off the 215 Beltway - just exit at Stephanie, head north to Warm Springs, turn left and it's right there on your right.

Hope to see you all there.

Come join us, everything we go over you can use trading e-mini's and the S&P and maybe you can share what you have learned from your trading group but no pressure. We allow anyone to give a presentation or just listen and take notes, come and check us out...

I am new to day trading (E-mini S&P 500). I started in January and attend an online trading group each day. I paid a membership fee and a monthly fee. So far I have found it very interesting and am having success - I started not even knowing what a candlestick was! I still have a long way to go as my knowledge is very limited. I really couldn't offer anything to the group as I am a brand new trader. Just wanting to hear from other day traders and their experiences.

I believe Denise was sharing 6 years of trading education, not 6 months. I'd love to find someone using fundamentals in their day trading, frankly I think its impossible, but I'm willing to learn....

    Part 2:

Hank and Denise have spent a virtual fortune acquiring trading knowledge, and are competent and successful day traders. We are very lucky they've chosen to share their accrued knowledge with us. I'm also confused by your comment "1 person talking about everything they've done the last 6 months." Firstly, we had two presenters - two of the best, I might add. Secondly, they spoke about that they did that same day or within the past week. And even if they DID speak about what they've done the past 6 months, knowledge is knowledge - no matter the timeline.

You are welcome to keep attending our meetups. If you choose not to, I wish you the best in your search for what constitutes a "true group" in your opinion.

    Part 1:

Scott, we must have different views on what comprises strategies and methodologies, because in my opinion, that's exactly what you saw. And if you become a regular attendee, you'll see even more. As for your "technical trading" comment, What do you think strategies and methodologies are based on, if not some form of technical analysis? They're all part of the same equation. And with all due respect, I hope you realize that your opinion of what constitutes a "true group" is just that - your opinion. In my opinion - and that of many regular members - we absolutely have a "true group," no matter how many presenters we might have on any given evening. As a matter of fact, we have members who stopped attending other trading meetups for that very reason - because everybody was expected to present. Personally, I think the quality of the presentation is far more important than the quantity of presenters.

I was disappointed in 2 areas:
    1) I was hoping to see a variety of strategies and methodologies, instead it was strictly technical trading.
    2) A true group has plenty of people presenting and inter-acting; not 1 person talking about everything they've done the last 6 months for an hour and a half.

No charge, once you're in Total Wine go to the back of the store and you will see everyone in the tasting room...

Hello. It will be my first meeting and I have few questions
Where exactly is the meeting? Inside a particular room?
    Is there a cover charge?

This is going to be one of our best meetings ever, don't miss out... My discussion will be on Gap trading and DC Trader has a nice presentation on failed patterns and maybe we will have someone else will to share as well. I hope to see you all next Wednesday, April 9th:)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
