This was a tremendous event. All winners absolutely! One of my teams completed their project and published www.socialnevada.org and the other www.mychangediary.org will publish later this week. The heavy lifting is completed but we almost lost a developer to the heat. Andrew had a flat in the 117 degree heat on Sunday and spent two hours trying to remove his spare. After some time in an air conditioned environment and several glasses of water he began to recover. We apologize to the group for not attending the Sunday evening event but his health trumped the fun.
What an awesome event. thanks to all of the sponsors, organizers, and volunteers.
If you were not here make sure you dont miss the next one.
Besides this is the place where facebook Team: Get Shit Done hangs out.

I thought it was an awesome experience that I would recommend anyone to participate in the next time. Thanks for providing the great opportunity.
In my wildest dreams the event would not have been this successful. Just amazing.

does anyone know a good parking place, i have car, live to far to use bike or bus?
A lot of people use the church parking lot behind Work In Progress but we don't have permission, so it's park-at-your-own-risk.
Parking meters are free after 5pm, but are enforced on Saturday. One option is to park at the El Cortez and walk the 3-4 blocks to Work In Progress.
I will probably be about 15 minutes late - won't be able to get out of work until 5pm.
You should be fine. 6pm is the official kickoff.
May have to be out of town for a funeral. Will hopefully get to attend.

You can contact the dev lead for that project, John Hawkins ([masked]).
If you've RSVP'd for this event please fill out the volunteer form so we have an idea of what project might suit you:
We will be announcing the nonprofits chosen for the event this week, out of almost 50 charities that applied!

Do you have a list of charities or should we come prepared with one?
0 · May 17, 2013
We have charities already chosen and you will be paired with one. Thanks for asking!
I will be bringing a charitable organization.

I know the description says programmers, but hopefully there is an opportunity for designers to pitch in, because this is such an awesome idea.
