Soul/Funk this Friday night at the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (BBLV) with Orgone and it's a no cover night for this 21+ show. This group from LA that tours pretty much non-stop has a big sound as the 8(+/-) members of the group take the stage.
Here's a radio station recording of the band performing a set back in 2012:
And here's a great selection of their music on SoundCloud.
With it being a no cover night, it's another great opportunity to spend some time in what, I think, is the best venue in town. If you would like to know more about the BBLV (and no, I do not work for them :)), I recently put together my list of the top 10 things about the BBLV, which go beyond the obvious things:
Do you love going to concerts and listening to live music? Do you have an insatiable appetite for new music, especially live music? Does your body find it impossible to resist moving to a good beat? If so, then this may be the group for you.
I love live music and probably attend three performances each week. But, most of the time, I am on my own as people in my circle do not share my passion for live music. So, I thought that maybe there are others like me who love listening to live music and would enjoy going to performances with a group.
We have so many fantastic venues in Las Vegas like House of Blues, Hard Rock Live, The Vinyl, Boardwalk Pool and even the LVCS with its dreadful sound system. I love them all and these venues offer relatively inexpensive fixes for your live music needs.
I will try and list the cost for shows and you will be responsible for getting your own ticket and before meeting the group at the agreed upon location. When attending, I will try and note a specific spot outside the venue to meet, like the box office and what I will wear that day.
