Victorian Railroad Ladies Hat Decorating Class / September 2013

  • Sep 8, 2013 · 10:00 AM
  • This location is no longer available

Jazzee invited everyone to come to her place instead for the next hat class, and even future classes on the south east side of town . We are asking everyone for date flexibility with upcoming hat decorating classes during the rest of the year, thank you. Those who live on the west side of town, car pool available.

LUNCH: Please bring your own lunch.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

•  One old/or new hat, to add your pretty fabric & decor

• Ugly hats will be covered with fabric anyway, so don't worry.

• Desired color of stretchy fabric to cover the entire hat.

• (Penne Velvet)

• Contrast color feathers of choice (available on Ebay / Joann's / costume shops / Feather shop on main Street / Hobby Lobby Store)

• Matching contrast fabric ribbon

• Pick small pieces stretchy fabric strops (for contrast)

• Special Victorian silk flowers

• Bring matching gold or silver custom jewelry for accent décor for your hat (if desired, looks cute)

Do your research online about Victorian hats, you will be amazed what you can find, and it will provide you with great ideas, maybe print out your favorite designs for future classes.

- Bring your own extension cord.
- Pins and good scissors
- Needle & matching thread
- One little glue gun & old dish for glue gun to protect work space
- Matching glue sticks

What a lovely, lovely day my ladies!
Thank you Jazzee & Phree for going all out with the setup for hat class, working tables, you had even cookies set out, and you Phree offered help with flowers, ribbons and glue gun for Dawn, thank you so, so much!
Linda, thank you for sharing your glue gun with Blanca.
I am sure Dawn and Blanca will return the favor!
My biggest joy is to take pictures of all the hats as they are coming together.
We have such a talented group of ladies.
The experience of camaraderie on such days is absolutely priceless!
Just I had always envisioned it to be, that means a lot to me!
Thank you ladies, thank you, every little thing you do, counts.
