RSVP Now To Celebrate With Us The LV Railroad Society's 15th Anniversary!

  • Aug 16, 2014 · 11:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Congratulations Las Vegas Railroad Society!

Our planned Champagne Brunch feels like a good place to celebrate our charity's 15th anniversary with members all dressed up in Victorian / Edwardian / and elegant long-gown Steampunk attire.

COST OF BUFFET

The cost for the buffet is $14.99 ($12.99 with a players card and $11.99 for over 50 with a card).

AUGUST ATTIRE IDEAS & FASHION EDUCATION

This page lists the event, but it is also full of ideas, scroll down and check it all out......

'EDWARDIAN ATTIRE' SAMPLES

We will be in our elegant summer outfits; more Edwardian style suggestions below...... Always add a nice hat to any outfit, as we are indeed a hat group......

                                                                  •1912 suit

Dressing more Edwardian than Victorian means less layers, no corset, a nice big hat, flowing skirt, and loose "romantic" blouse.  Be elegant and cool at the same time.

                                                                 •1910 Dress

And as a final example a "suffragette" suit.  Let's get the right to vote, Ladies! Hat too plain? You know the drill,, lets add the flowers and feathers, early Edwardians still wore big hats.....

                                                                     •1915 Suit

Above jacket might be a little heavy for summer. How about just wearing the skirt with a lightweight ivory embroidered blouse, or even a different color blouse with nice old world custom jewelry, and finish it off with a nicely decorated ivory hat! Simple and cool, and elegant Edwardian.

GENTLEMEN ARE ALWAYS WELCOME AT OUR CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH

This brunch is a good way for our 'Steam Era Men's Club' to get to know our ladies in-between major events like Helldorado Parades, Gala Events and our 'Victorian High Tea Society' fundraisers.

Gentlemen's attire is simple; for starters dress elegant Western

ELEGANT STEAMPUNK ATTIRE ALSO WELCOME

Ladies must wear long gowns or skirts....

See you all soon!

Our 15th ANNIVERSARY celebration on behalf of the Las Vegas Railroad Society Museum was memorable. Our pictures are on the Meetup website.. This is a very special month for our charity. I especially like to thank those ladies and gentlemen who took the time to celebrate with us on August 16, 2014! You are hands-on active role model community supporters who truly understand and appreciate our charity's educational mission, vision and goals. Thank you all very much.

The LV Rail Road Society 15th Anniversary celebration was fabulous. It was so good to see Keith & Steve. The handsome gentlemen are a nice masculine balance to all our feminine frills. We made lots of new friends and were able to tell many people about our Rail Road Museum Park Project
to support children's education and for the enjoyment of our community. An all round positive day! Congratulations Trudy and Happy Birthday Keith!

Yes Adrianne, to have 2 handsome gentlemen cowboys there today made all the difference, indeed; this was so, so important, especially today!

All 9 RSVP showed up, I am very, very pleased to experience your loyalty and support, ladies and gentlemen! I am putting up the pictures momentarily.

Our double celebration was fun, we sang 'Happy Birthday' to Keith and his lunch was free, paid by Bruno. Guests around us smiled and walked over to us. Our entire grup enjoyed answering many buffet guest's and even employees' questions, who all wanted to take pictures with them and us together. Their attention, praises and best wishes was humbly appreciated by all our members. Another good day, filled with positive and meaningful encouragement.
