When I read a book and said with disdain: "I could do this better!" So I did, and it's been a wild ride ever since.
Instead of, say, a writing workshop where the focus is on exercising your craft and talent, LVWG is more a social gathering of writers, all discussing their work and successes and frustrations. Like a support group for those addicted to writing. :)
I write everything out longhand in those rinky-dink mead notebooks. Then I put it down for a week or two before typing it in. Perhaps that will have to change once I have deadlines!
Keep submitting and keep publishing. So far, so good!
I joined LVWG to see if other writers were as odd as I am. They are, and it's great. Besides the benefits of networking, bouncing ideas off other writers is 100% necessary if you want to polish your craft.
