Total Distance: ~4-5 miles round trip
Total Elevation Gain: ~2,000'
Altitude: 4,800' - 6,300'
Terrain Description: off-trail, class 4 scrambling
Approximate Hiking Time: about 6 hours
This hike is organized by me, but the route is led by Ed Forkos.
A wonderful loop of White Rock Hills Peak, ascending via the large SE "Diamond Ledge" canyon, descending the standard way down the W slopes. It's a shorter very steep route involving a considerable amount of serious climbing up to exposed Class 4. Lots of tough exposed climbing. A great hike to gain experience for really scrambling a peak and to test your limits learning more of what it is like to mountaineer.
Please remember to answer the questions after RSVPing. If you are using a phone, the questions will not appear. Therefore, please check back again to answer the questions.
To participate in this outing, you must be a current, paid member of LVMC. You can obtain a membership via this link: http://www.lvmc.org/w.... The fee is $40 per year for a family/roommates or $30 per year for an individual. Please contact your organizer if you have any questions.
If you don't answer the four RSVP questions and you are not listed on the LVMC member roles I will ignore you and remove you from the trip without notice. Although, if you are new to the group and want to try us out without being a member, I welcome you as long as you contact me describing your experience for consideration on a case-by-case basis.
I am very tired and annoyed with random non-members signing up for my hikes I don't know who don't communicate with me and/or don't even show up for the hikes after I spent time corresponding with them. Thank you for your understanding!
