Thank you, Kyle, for the great photos! I really enjoy looking at them. You are a good photographer, particularly with the challenging light conditions of where your subjects often chose to stand!

How much snow did you encounter? I didnt think there would be much.

Susan's concerns paid off for us all in that we had enough cold weather gear for the very brisk day. The temps were quite cool and the wind made it downright cold at times. She did a great job planning and executing!

Wish I could have been there but I am still sick at home and did not even make it to work today.

Sorry Susan but I literally have been super sick all night.

    • Jodie

No it was not. People are saying I got some virus that is going around.

That really sucks. Hayford would have been a good peak today. Hang in there.

Sorry, Susan. Have to cancel. I've too many things to do, no time for hiking!

I don't want to sugar coat Sunday's hike to Hayford Peak. The next few days will have highs of 32-38 and lows 20-26 per NOAA at the peak. Snow is expected to accumulate at 1-2" today and another 1/2" tonight. Sunday will be mostly Sunny with a high of 44, but be prepared to hike in snow/ice!

    Susan,
I twisted my ankle yesterday, I hope to heal it by Hayford, but just in case I am on the maybe list.

      Susan,
My ankle is getting better but still swelling, 5 or 6 miles is the maximum right now, not 14 miles. So that I'll pass this one even I need it. And thank you for organizing this hike.

Sorry I need to bail. I need to help my dad this Sunday. I really wanted to do this peak!

I hear that Stirling is down the street and it wants to make a good hike for anyone interested the day before.

Lol I was just going to text Ky about this. We both need Hayford and Stirling. We don't have high clearance though.

    March 25, 2014

    • Jodie

      Can we carpool with you?

      March 25, 2014

    • Susan M.

Looking like we'll have enough HCV's for everyone now...yea! :)

      1 · March 26, 2014

If anyone wants to try for Stirling the day before I would love to do that, too. But, I don't have the vehicle. So it could simply be a pipe dream for me and Kyle to do both of these back-to-back.

  • Valerie M.

Good training hike for TRTA Thru Hike! Have HCV.

    March 25, 2014
