This is a beginning mountaineering trail hike to one of the largest Bristlecone Pine trees in the Spring Mountains located below Mummy's Toe. We will hike through one of my favorite Bristlecone covered ridges, about 1.5 miles in.
Total Distance: about 6 miles round trip
Total Elevation Gain: about 1500'
Altitude: about 8600' - 10,000'
Terrain Description: All North Loop trail - Class 2
Approximate Hiking Time: 5 hours
Option: Hike off-trail to Raintree Peak (10,109 ft) a short distance.
Children 11 years and up are welcome. Up to 2 Dogs on leash are OK; but, not riding in my Honda. I always suggest bring a hat, at least one pole, sun screen and a windbreaker. Plus lunch and Water!
This is a fun hike; however, participants on this hike will be given priority to join me on the Meetup to the Giant Bristlecone above Mummy Springs & Mummy's Toe (A Club Classic 50 Peak) in a few weeks, after my Mt. Lincoln trip on 8-11-14.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
