This year will start with BOLIVIA!!
You are cordially invited to ALASITAS 2013. Please see the invitation above.
The event will be hosted by Atlantis City Service, Thursday January 24, 2013from 4PM - 9PM.
ALASITAS or "The festival of Abundance" is an event with miniature replicas of everyday objects that, according to popular belief, once bought and blessed will help acquire the real thing (houses, business, cars, even college degrees.)
An Aymara festival Bolivia celebrates in reverence of the indigenous "god of bounty" or "abundance" called the Ekeko. Therefore, Alasitas has been called the Festival of Abundance. In Bolivia, the religious and popular beliefs of the Aymara culture find expression in the street markets, fairs and festivals across the country.
Historically, Alasitas is a 3-week long fair that, in the city of La Paz begins every 24th of January. However we will host ALASITAS 2013 until January 31, 2013.
We'll see you there!
Learn, enjoy and celebrate!
