Clint Corfman at his gallery, The Glass Onion.
This is a strange email to follow the last one but one that is quite different from the first.
Yesterday I received a phone call from Alexis, who was a server at Leafy Greens for a long time. She and I had a mutual friend and she was calling me with sad news.
Clint Corfman, who has been an integral part of the raw food movement in Tampa Bay, was killed on August 3rd in Hawaii when his car had a mechanical failure and went off the road. Clint was the founder of the Glass Onion and one of the first Raw Food Meetup groups I had ever attended.
He was a quiet, loving and spiritual person. He was generous and really inspired me in my raw food business. He had coordinated an organic buying coop which he and I had administered for a short time in Tampa. He was originally from Ohio and was coming to Florida during the winter for the past two years. His dream was to move permanently to Hawaii and he was there staying with his best friend, Billy and his family.
I am unsure of how many people know him by name but I wanted to put this out there so that those who knew him would know what happened.
Rest in Peace, Clint. You will be sorely missed.
