The Lean Enterprise and Continuous Improvement meetup is a social learning initiative designed to bring together SMEs, Quality practitioners, Business owners, Technologists, Business Analysts, Managers, Decision Makers, Product Owners, Product Managers; to plan, learn, discuss and share experiences, implementations, best practices, body of knowledge, metrics, methodologies, tools and techniques as applicable; to take an enterprise through a journey of Continuous Improvement with an end result in mind that includes best of class customer experience, waste elimination, improved and efficient processes and a culture of continual improvement imbibed in the DNA of the organization.
Lean is a set of management practices based on the Toyota Production System; the essence of which is maximizing customer value while minimizing waste. A popular misconception is that Lean is suited only for manufacturing. Not true. Lean applies in every business and every process. It is not a tactic or a cost reduction program, but a way of thinking and acting for an entire organization. LEAN best practices emphasize Continuous Improvement at all levels.
American Society for Quality(ASQ) defines Continuous Improvement as; “Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services or processes. These efforts can seek “incremental” improvement over time or “breakthrough” improvement all at once.”
Looking forward to learning with everyone and sharing knowledge. As far as I am concerned; I believe knowledge is very powerful however; shared knowledge is transformational!
Looking forward to meeting all of you in person at the meetups!
