Join us at 6 PM Central Time on Monday, September 16th to simulate (using Legos) what at the onset would seem to be a completely reasonable production system (typical of how many companies do business).
We will use this production system to identify and review the impacts of the 7 types of waste (Muda), and then participants will be challenged to improve the production system overcoming waste so as to optimize the production of customer value. The context of the simulation is within generic production systems design, whereby the learning is applicable to all lean systems (including but not limited to lean software development).
Moreover, everyone gets to play with Legos (fun), and with sufficient participation the simulation becomes competitive to see which team can design the most optimized production system.
We'll begin with a presentation of Waste/Muda at 6:00 PM as folks enjoy refreshments and dinner - the simulation and debriefing will run from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM.
