Lean Into Spring with MassChallenge and Lean Startup Circle Boston

Lean into Spring with Mass Challenge, the best way to connect entrepreneurs with the resources they need to launch and succeed immediately, and the Lean Startup Circle Boston!

Join us on the roof top deck of the Rattlesnake Boston to enjoy a casual networking event with other entrepreneurs, founders, technologists, venture capitalists, and company advisors. MassChallenge Endorsement tickets will be present at this event.

All you need to do is, come and have a good time. Be sure to bring lots of business cards. We'll provide the food, and there will be a limited number of free drink tickets to first arrivers.

Space is limited, so you must RSVP "Yes" to this event to get on the list. If you have recently joined our Meetup group - thank you and welcome! But, simply joining our group is not enough - you must also RSVP "Yes" to make it onto the guest list.

We think it's pretty clear this is an event worth attending. But, for those who are not already convinced, we've come up with the top 10 reasons why you should attend:

1. You want to be with this crowd. The top Boston VC's, entrepreneurs, tech startups, talent, and company advisors will all be here.
2. You'll learn best practices from smart people who are actually practicing Lean and Customer Development right now.
3. There will be free food for all, and free drink tickets to first arrivers.
4. You'll have a chance to score a golden endorsement ticket for the $1million MassChallenge startup contest.
5. You'll be out of the office and enjoying a warm spring day outside with friends and colleagues.
6. You may find your next great job with a hot startup.
7. You may find the best undiscovered talent in the city and hire them.
8. You'll be at the Rattlesnake, which is conveniently located to the Green Line (Arlington), Red Line (Park St), Orange Line (Chinatown), and some of the cheapest parking in the city of Boston (Boston Common Garage).
9. You'll meet our terrific sponsors who are eager to help you by sharing their experiences with Lean Startups and Customer Development.
10. Did we mention the free food and drinks on the outdoor roofdeck patio?! You better RSVP "Yes" now or you'll miss the whole thing!

After you've RSVP'd "Yes", spread the word about this event. Email your "lean" friends and colleagues, write a blog post, share on LinkedIn, post to Facebook, and on Twitter - use the hashtag #leanspring. It was great but whew, I am tired! Who knew so many people would want to talk about robots?

Thanks to John and Matthew for putting it together. I would agree with other comments about the crowd and the noise, it was almost impossible to have a discussion. Build, measure, learn....maybe next time limit the size.

This is one of the few groups I really learn a lot at their events, so I'm looking forward to getting into some great case studies and other methods for really understanding and implementing Lean Startups at future events.

This was my first Lean Startup event, and I thought it was excellent. The energy in the room was great and I really enjoyed meeting so many people with good ideas. See you all at the next one!

Interesting mix of people but way too noisy and crowded. Ratio of entrepreneurs:people selling services significantly higher than at other events of that kind.

Wait a minute. The party was in a room? I told the front door guy I'm here for Lean Into Spring party and he made me wait in line to go upstairs because the seating capacity was only 100 people. And then when I did get up there there were only 5 people for the Lean Startup Circle event. Missed you Andreas.

The people I did get a chance to meet were very interesting but the venue was way too small for the crowd and way too noisy to engage people in conversation comfortably. I was also disappointed that that it wasn't the roof top deck as advertised, given the lack of space and fresh air in the dark room where the meeting ended up being held. Too many networking events take place in environments that are not conducive to conversation, somewhat squandering the real potential of the event.

Based on the comments posted, I don't feel sorry for missing this event for a client meeting in Boston.

    Better luck next time.

This event was wonderful and I really enjoyed meeting the people behind some fascinating new startups. For those of you I didn't get to meet, I'd love to connect. I'm a reporter at Mass High Tech, looking for some new companies to write about. Email me at lcornell@masshightech.com to chat.

I thought the event was fabulous. Who complains about great company, free food, free drinks along with some interesting conversations? Take what ya get, people! Thanks to the great sponsors - Matt & John, it was a great event.

My sentiments exactly Marie. You have to know how to handle a crowd. Pick your spot (near the food or the bar), say hello and meet new people. I'm grateful you all put the effort into this meeting.

Shoot! Great company, free food AND free drinks? I really really really wish the front door guy had sent me to the right area. Was hoping to meet John and Matt in person finally. Next time I guess. Yaddapalooza was great too!

Generally pretty solid - lots of ppl to network with and fun. A bit noisy and too crowded, but still an awesome opportunity to network.

Thanks to everyone for coming. It was a great night! John and I are already working hard on this upcoming month's event. Now that we've had a chance to have some fun and blow off some steam at the Rattlesnake, it's back to practical applications of Lean Principles. Stay tuned for speakers and topics!

I thought it was an excellent event. Yes, it was noisy, crowded, and I waited uselessly at the foot of the stairs. But the people were interesting, it was predominantly entrepreneurs trying to figure out the start-up ecosystem, and trying to help each other. I like that the event was free & open & made no big deal about the 'right' to be there. It confirms my hypothesis that there is very little correlation between what one gets out of events and what one pays to attend them.

I had a great time and got a chance to meet and talk with some very interesting people.

Excellent crowd of entrepreneurs, investors and press. People can complain about the noise/crowd, but it was a free event with free food and top notch people. If you couldn't make the most of it, you missed out.
  • Tom Patterson
A very good opportunity and I like having the service providers there - I need those services! One thing that might help is to code the name tags to ID who is a vendor, MC staff or entrepreneur.
  • Pascal Rettig
Really great networking event - fun meeting a bunch of other Startupers.
  • Jason Evanish
oversubscribed, so couldn't get upstairs and heard people couldn't hear upstairs and when they did...also was told it was a lot of "business card ninjas" messing with the environment.
  • Craig Daniel
It was great! Thanks to John and Matthew for getting a great group of entrepreneurs together. I saw old friends and met new ones. Thanks alot.

It was well attended and the people were interesting to meet. The food and location was great too...

V crowded and loud... Difficult to meet people .
  • Amy
Too crowd and noisy. Can barely communicate. Chicken wings were good.
  • Patricia Sulick
Bit loud and crowded...roof deck might have been better.
  • Brian Gilbert
I thought this was a great event except as others have said the size of the crowd versus the size of the room. I met some great Entrepreneurs and one of my goals was to really discuss with others the work we are doing here at Pearson and www.mycareercloud.com which I was able to do. A quick side comment, we are hiring here at Pearson/MyCareerCloud so please keep us in mind. Thanks to Matt and John again for your hard work. Thanks Brian [masked]

It was impossible to get through the door; it was impossible to hear anything because of the noise; it was impossible to move around and do any networking. You asked people to register in advance, but then anyone in whether or not they were registered. What's the point of that?
  • Raza Shaikh
It was just too loud to be useful. The venue should have enough space to have a decent conversation.
