Getting Funded as a Lean Startup: CafePress Lessons Learned

Fred Durham is the Co-Founder and CEO of CafePress, a highly successful startup that generates in excess of $100M a year in revenue. When it came time to raise their Series B, the CafePress founders took an unconventional approach. They made a compelling case to investors by sharing all of the things that they had learned about their customers. The result was a 10-digit term sheet that afternoon. Fred will tell their funding story firsthand and leave plenty of time to answer your questions about getting funded as a Lean Startup. Fred's talk will be at 6:30 on December 6th at NextSpace (2nd and Market). Attendance is $30 and includes Fred's talk, food, drinks and networking with top startup founders. RSVP using the form on the top right of this page to get your tickets.

A great evening due to the self-effacing humor of Fred Durham and the fascinating and unlikely success of CafePress. Failure turned to success continually! An affirmation of lean principles.

One of the best yet. Fred Durham's modest title was thoroughly exceeded by all the frank stories and thoughtful advice.
