Welcome to Startup EduTech LA. We are launching events both in Northen and Southern CA that celebrate and exposes innovation in education.

I've seen lots of weak programs for teaching math, no great ones. I heartily suggest reading Number Sense, by Stanislas Dehaene. He is by far the leading researcher in the neurobiology of math. How Mathematicians Think is another book that might be worth reading.

I just saw a posting you wrote in response to women mt biking (I think it was in April). I live in Albany and am an intermediate rider looking to mt and road bike. The groups here seem like mostly dudes (I am sure they are nice) but I would love to meet some lady biking friends too. I have not been biking (I spent the last two years in school) but would love to start again.
