In the Lean Startup process, we try to put the customer discovery and the customer development early into the startup cycle. We look for ways to connect to people who have a problem we can solve and to ask them about how they experience our proposed solution. How do we find new people, who we don't know that are interested in the problems we are exploring? Social Media provides a great way to build an audience of people who are interested in a topic and to reach out to new people you don't know. Lyndi Thompson is an active blogger and social media person, who will explore some of the foundations of how to engage in Lean Social Media for your Lean Startup.
Lyndi is a Seattle native who is attracted to entrepreneurial energy. She has been referred to as “a fire hose of fresh marketing ideas,“ taking BIG ideas and converting them to actionable strategies with a focus on the customer and conversion. She isn't afraid of using data and teaches effective marketing tactics using analytics and real world analogies. Entrepreneurs look to Lyndi to open their eyes to fresh experiences between brand and customer, online and beyond.
When she isn't helping startups achieve their next milestone, Lyndi is exploring the "real" Washington. Find her hiking areas like Snow Lake, riding her horses in the wilderness and volunteering for non-profits.
Lean Startup Seattle is for anyone interested in the application of Lean Startup Principles and the Customer Development process developed by Steve Blank and refined by Eric Ries. We are bringing the Seattle Lean Startup community together in a variety of formats to learn from each other.
