Andy will share his experiences and observations about building an effective early-stage sales process that address areas including pricing, commissions, forecasting and org structure.
Andy co-founded 2 successful startup in the SF Bay Area before moving to Seattle over a year ago. Andy co-founded his first company, Fogdog Sports, in 1995, where he led the customer acquisition and product teams. During that time, Fogdog raised over $30M in venture financing and successfully held a $66M IPO (NASD:FOGD) in 1999. Shortly afterwards, Fogdog was acquired by GSI Commerce (NASD:GSIC), where Andy served as VP Product.
In 2005, following a 2 year product leadership role at Yahoo! from[masked], Andy launched his second startup, PowerReviews, which aimed to change online shopping by bringing the voice of the customer to the forefront of the experience. As CEO, Andy raised over $38M in venture capital, developed channel partnerships in Europe and Japan, and built a world-class B2B SaaS sales/marketing engine to distribute the PowerReviews platform to over 5000 e-commerce websites.
PowerReviews was acquired for $168M in 2012 by it's largest competitor, Bazaarvoice (NASD:BV).
Andy currently invests in, advises and consults with several startups in the SaaS/Cloud, e-commerce and mobile areas, with a focus on providing assistance in sales/marketing, product, fundraising and corporate strategy.
