Introduction

Been designing and developing software for almost 20 years now. Have recently co-founded SeaBalt Solutions where we hope to get people to rethink parking with our Park Place app.

Describe your Lean Startup. (If you don't have one yet, care to share details about your Dream Startup?)

SeaBalt is a small team of 3 founders, with specializations in development, sales, and business. We try to keep things fun while remaining focused on the tasks that matter. Along with main product development, we are currently bootstrapping ourselves with the occasional client project (in the mobile apps space). In particular if you need an iPhone app made, we can deliver.

What is the best tool/technology/service to make your startup more efficient?

* Flurry (analytics service) * Django (web development)

  • David, sorry we missed you. We were sitting by two bug tents and has a mini volleyball net by us. Hope you can make it again as we always have things going.

  • However, can an 8-way I7 really get full use when there's an 8 gb RAM limitation? Is there a correlation?

Down the road I anticipate more applications will be able to take advantage of multi-way processing.

  • Hi David,
Thanks so much! I will get the anti-glare now, memory & drive later. I see hanging out in the Surf Incubator a lot, & will want a larger screen than the 13" for website design too. I'm getting help with the cost. So I'm looking at the 17" ($250 more) for $2144 total (educational discount). I'm considering a single bump to the I7 620M processor/4 mb cache for $180 more. According to a benchmark site, I'll get a 11% boost and I can't upgrade later. That'll put it at $2349.

  • Hi David,
As you know, I'm buying a Macbook Pro. Any thoughts on after-market upgrades for RAM and hard drive? At some point I want to get a solid-state drive and 8 gb memory. Can I do it myself (like I did on my HP laptop?)

    Glossy vs. anti-glare screens?

Which upgrades did you go for and what's your opinion on the value of them now?

    Thanks! Carol
