I don't know about Lean Startup™, but it seems to be about treating a business, or even other kinds of organizations, as a perpetual experiment. I'm mostly self-taught. Therefore my teacher has always been an idiot, but he does have pretty good taste in what books to read. I tend to know more computer science than the average web hacker knows. I have worked for Bay Area orgs since 2005 (Google, Flickr/Yahoo, Wikipedia), primarily on Google's Java-based stack, or the LAMP stack, with a very heavy focus on browser frontends, and even a bit of Node.JS.
